The 11th Workshop on Uncertainty Processing

Třeboň, Czech Republic, June 6 - 9, 2018

About WUPES

A series of Workshops on Uncertainty Processing (WUPES) has been held in the Czech Republic every third year since 1988. Proceedings from several previous workshops can be found on their websites ( WUPES'15, WUPES'12, WUPES'09, and WUPES'06).

Like the previous meetings the forthcoming Workshop foster creative intellectual activities and the exchange of ideas in an informal atmosphere. Therefore we aim at a limited number of participants (~40).

In 2018, the workshop is organized by Institute of Information Theory and Automation, The Czech Academy of Sciences and Faculty of Management, University of Economics, Prague.

The workshop was held in the castle Třeboň in South Bohemia. The Třeboň Castle is one of the largest castle complexes in the Czech Republic. The bus from Prague and back will be organized. For more information about the conference bus, please continue here.

We invite submission of papers on (but not limited to) bayesian networks, uncertainty in AI, information science, operations research, management science, stochastic analysis, fuzzy analysis, mathematical programming, discrete optimization, constraint programming, planning, and related fields.

Special Issue

There was a SPECIAL ISSUE of an International Journal of General Systems dedicated to WUPES'18.

Accommodation

Třeboň is a spa town with a wide range of accommodation. That's why we have decided not to provide accommodation for conference participants this year. However, in case of interest, we are able to book accommodation in one of the nearby hotels. More information can be found on a special page devoted to accommodation.
